About 3 years ago, I started messing with Linux. i first used Ubuntu because it was 'beginner recommended' but I don't read the Wiki unless I need to, i like to experience being a huge retard and make things really really hard for myself.
The only reason I was like, "it should be Ubuntu aside from it being good for newbs" was purely because of moebuntu and I never even got to try it.
My friend recommended Arch, helped me install it, and despite it being more 'advanced' for a newfag like me, it looked a lot better and felt a lot easier. Thankfully, around the time I was using Arch for a second time it got more stable for gaming, I felt so proud of myself for figuring it out on my own without my friend.
I also tried Mint because it was more stable for gaming, but the main edition of Mint is based on Ubuntu. SO I ALSO HATED IT. I never even tried it for gaming, I coded 3 lines of a site and let it rot at my parents house. Arch was just fine. Honestly, distrohopping is kind of gay and really inconvenient unless you have old laptops lying around.
If I ever got Linux again and wanted to try a new distro, I think I would use Gentoo. FUCK UBUNTU. If you want to try a Linux distro, USE A GOOD DISTRO.
